Who is Wells Soccer Club?

The Wells Soccer Club program has been in existence for over 10 years.  It consists of a volunteer board of directors; parents, coaches and community members who are passionate about soccer. The program aims to provide a strong foundation of skills for children of Wells and Ogunquit, promoting competitive play, and strengthening the program for the future.

Wells Soccer Club is a fun, instructional, and competitive soccer program for soccer players of all experience levels.  Separate girls and boys teams are organized by age.  Teams play matches with other youth soccer clubs in Southern Maine. The season runs from mid August until late October.

For the last few years Wells Soccer Club has engaged Global Premier Soccer to teach skill sessions and run weekly practices for all teams.  The children benefit from learning soccer skills from professionals. Last season Wells Soccer Club sponsored Global Premier Soccer to run the Wells Recreation Youth Soccer practices to ensure all children registered in the program would be taught the same skill set, regardless of what team they were on.  These young professionals keep the children engaged by playing games that teach the basic foundation for foot skill development.  We are proud to have GPS back again this year.

Our program is funded by registration fees, fundraising and donations. We are thankful for parents and community members who take part in our fundraising activities.  Between the mum sales and annual fundraiser dances, Wells Soccer Club receives an average $2500.00 per year to offset our operational costs.

The Board is always looking for more volunteers.  Meetings are the first Monday of every month.  Please contact a board member for more information.
